Jason Ebon Burrows

Back when I was a little kid, when my mom wanted to give me a bit of extra luck, she would sprinkle imaginary “monkey dust” over my head. I’m pretty sure that is where my fascination with magic, fantasy, and all things weird and whimsical began.

My art practice is illustration based. I work primarily in watercolor and Ink and I focus on character and story telling. I find my influences in the artists from the golden age of illustration like Arthur Rackham, Windsor McKay and Norman Rockwell as well as more modern masters like Maurice Sendak and Chris Riddle.
